Overview

One plan for the whole outdoor site

On a large site, outdoor areas are often developed piece by piece: a lawn here, a driveway there, a few trees along the boundary. Years later, the result is a patchwork where paths do not connect, water collects in the wrong places and the best parts of the land are used for parking. A landscape master plan avoids this by planning the whole site as one before anything is built.

We start by studying the land: boundaries, levels, soil, existing trees worth keeping, views, sun and shade, and how the buildings sit on the site. Then we divide the site into zones according to use, such as arrival and parking, formal lawns, private gardens, play and sports areas, orchards, event spaces and service yards, placing each where it works best.

Circulation ties the zones together. We plan vehicle routes, pedestrian paths and service access so they are clear and do not clash. Levels and slopes are worked out so stormwater drains naturally to planted areas, recharge points or drains rather than pooling against buildings or on lawns, a common problem during the Delhi NCR monsoon.

Because large landscapes are rarely built in one go, the master plan includes a phased implementation plan. Essential grading, drainage and tree planting can happen first, with features and finishes following as budget allows, all without undoing earlier work. It suits farm houses in Chhatarpur, Sohna or along the Noida expressway corridor, school and college campuses, hotels and resorts.

Ideally alongside the architectural site plan, before the building position, driveways and utilities are fixed. That way the landscape shapes decisions about levels, drainage and access instead of fitting into leftover spaces. It can also be prepared for an existing property where the outdoor areas need to be reorganised.
For larger sites, yes. A survey showing boundaries, levels and existing trees is the foundation of a reliable master plan, particularly for drainage and grading. If you do not already have one, we can arrange it as part of the appointment so the plan is based on accurate information.
Yes, and it usually is. The phasing plan sets out which work should come first, typically grading, drainage, main paths and tree planting, and which features can follow later. Each phase builds on the last, so nothing completed early has to be broken up to make way for later work.
The master plan fixes zones, routes, levels and the overall planting structure. Detailed planting plans, hardscape details, irrigation layouts and lighting are prepared in the next stage. You can appoint us for the master plan alone or for the full design, as set out in the written proposal.
