What exactly happens between our first meeting and the day we hand over the keys? Architecture is a long, collaborative process.
Stage 1: Listening (Weeks 1–3)
We begin with a Discovery Phase — conversations to understand not just what you want, but how you live. We visit the site multiple times, at different times of day and in different weather.
Stage 2: Concept Design (Weeks 4–8)
We develop two or three conceptual directions — spatial propositions that answer the fundamental questions of how the building should be organised and what experience it should create.
Stage 3: Design Development (Weeks 9–20)
The chosen concept is developed into a detailed design — floor plans, sections, elevations, and a full specification of materials. By the end of this stage you should be able to close your eyes and walk through your building.
Stage 4: Construction
We maintain active site supervision throughout, visiting regularly to check quality and ensure the design intent is faithfully realised.
