When a young couple approached us about their 650 sq ft apartment in Greater Kailash, they were apologetic. By the time we handed over the keys, they had stopped apologising entirely.

Remove Before You Add

Stripping the apartment back to its raw structure revealed 2.8-metre ceilings and a continuous slab across what had been artificially divided spaces.

One Room, Many Functions

The living-dining-kitchen space was opened completely. A custom joinery unit along the east wall conceals a pull-down bed, provides all kitchen storage, houses the television, and contains the home office nook.

Light as Space

We extended the glazing to add a wide window seat that blurs the boundary between interior and the small balcony beyond. Natural light, correctly managed, can double the perceived size of a room.
